Privacy Policy

Cartuteca is an iPhone app by Outlier SpA for keeping a catalog of your Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 game library. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.

In short

Cartuteca does not collect personal data. It has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and Outlier receives no information about you or your library.

What the app stores

The games you mark as yours, whether you have each one physical, digital or both, the console of each copy and the date you added each format. Nothing else.
They are stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in the private database of your iCloud account. That way your library is on all your devices and comes back if you change phones.
The iCloud private database belongs to Apple and only your account can read it: Outlier has no access to it. That storage is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
The game catalog and the small covers are included in the app. Cartuteca does not download the catalog from the internet.

Connections the app makes

iCloud sync, which your iPhone's system handles.
The large cover on a game's detail screen, which is downloaded from Nintendo's image service. Like any web request, it shows your IP address to that service. The app sends nothing about you or your library; it only asks for that game's image.
Links you open, such as a game's page on Wikidata or this page, open in your browser.

What the app does not do

It does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos or any other data.
It does not use analytics, advertising or third-party SDKs.
It does not share or sell data.
It does not connect to Outlier's servers.

How to control or delete your data

To stop syncing your library, turn off Cartuteca in your iPhone's iCloud settings. From then on it stays only on the phone.
To delete your library, unmark the games in the app: they are also deleted from your iCloud.
If you delete the app, the copy on the phone is removed. The iCloud copy is kept, so your library comes back if you install the app again.

Children

Cartuteca does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page, with its date.
